Humble Beginnings
Dusters Cigar and Mercantile began with a simple idea: create a place where people can slow down, enjoy a quality cigar, and feel right at home. Built on small-town values and a love for genuine hospitality, the shop started as a dream to bring something unique to the community while staying true to the character of the West.
About the Owner
Shelley Kiefiuk was born and raised in the Enderby/Armstrong area and has always loved the connection and charm that comes with small-town life. After many years working in social work, she felt called to create something different—something that brings people together and simply makes them happy. That vision became Dusters Cigar & Mercantile, a welcoming space built on conversation, community, and enjoying the moment. The name “Dusters” is a tribute to her roots—what her dad always called Western movies growing up—and something she later discovered her husband called them too. It felt like the perfect fit for a shop grounded in tradition, warmth, and a little bit of Western spirit.
